Glad to meet you!

My name is Hannah and I am FWP’s proud founder and primary clinician. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been serving clients throughout Colorado since 2018.

I enthusiastically specialize in supporting women across the lifespan and all individuals who are navigating trauma, anxiety, and facing challenges in relationships (sometimes because of trauma and anxiety!)

Clients often come to me when they’re feeling:

  • Stuck in patterns they can’t quite shift

  • Overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally exhausted

  • Navigating complex relationships or family dynamics

  • Trying to make sense of past experiences that still feel present

After earning my BA in Psychology with a minor in Women and Gender Studies, I went on to complete my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Denver. During my first year of graduate school, I was honored to work with CU Anschutz in their ARTS program, where I was trained to deliver Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to folks with a history of substance dependance in navigating their transition out of incarceration by equipping my clients with practical tools for increasing mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance and effective interpersonal skills. I went on to complete my studies with Mile High Psychiatry where I continued to grow clinical skills for supporting groups and individuals at an outpatient level.

Out of an appreciation for the power of mindfulness, specifically, my practice has evolved to include intentional “bottom-up” work with the nervous system through Somatic Experiencing (SE) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) in addition to the classic and more cognitive “top-down” approach of DBT. Through my clinical work today, I find this blend of evidence-based styles enables me to support people in the development of diversified, personalized, and accessible tools for processing trauma, managing emotions, reducing stress, and fostering meaningful connections. Our work is collaborative and grounded. I won’t sit back silently, and I also won’t push you faster than you’re ready to go. Instead, we’ll move at a pace that helps you feel both supported and gently challenged.

Another equally meaningful part of my work lies in providing clinical supervision to Masters-level and provisionally licensed therapists with advanced training and oversight in the use of DBT, IFS, and SE modalities.

As a human outside of work, I love to cook, spend time with my animals, watch reality TV with friends, and tube various rivers. I also absolutely love cheese; In fact, that was the exact answer I gave my now-husband when he asked about my favorite food while trying to choose the perfect place for one of our early dates.

Some of my favorite quotes are:

It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.
— Charles Darwin
The best way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time.
